Need a status from Garmin

Don't want to be negative but I for one need a status about when there will be an update to correct at least some of the problems. I don't have but about 3-5 days to return it so without some status from Garmin I think mine is going back. Then in the future if the problems are corrected I will buy it again.

  • Well as long as you have users that post how it works for them after using levels and extensive testing showing their 300 yd drives in a garage there is no incentive for them to fix it.   A group of us have done a ton of testing in my garage and have not seen these results.    Just remember the majority complaining about something is offset by a "single" "WORKS FOR ME!"

Interesting that after a couple weeks there has still not been a single Garmin response.  Are you telling me they can't setup a unit at home and test the same thing on 3.3?

  • I own numerous Garmin products and lurk the forums and such here and my short answer is if you're not happy and you can return it then you're well within your rights to. Garmin's never been the type to come out and say "Version x will be released soon which will do this or that". Not to say they don't update things but they're not like a video game company that communicates timelines and fixes well.

  • It's also in a customer's right to express disappointment.   This was hyped to be the next best thing by many streamers and shown by many content creators hitting balls indoors into nets comparing to very expensive launch monitors... almost dead on carry distances in fact the carry distances were the closest numbers.

Why is that not the case when it ends up in my home after waiting months on pre-order, apparently I am not alone look in the other threads here.  A group of friends that are good golfers have all tried to get any form of respectable drive ...no sir.   Crushing strikes barely carry 200yds.   Irons 2 clubs short.    Yes I've considered returning it.   But come on, it does have a chance to be a real winner if the issues get addressed so I'm hoping for the best.

They are concerned too because they all ordered the R10 as well.

  • And yes I will return it and go with the Skytrak that I was initially going to buy before seeing this show up on Youtube if it doesnt get fixed soon.

  • I have been using mine on the range, and I can see the ball flight... 30% of the time the shots are way off in terms of distance and direction... I hit a slice that landed about 40 yards right of target and the Garmin said in lander 36 yards left of target.  Plus, it didn't record at least 40-50% of my shots.

  • You may want to return your's that seems defective.   The one consistent thing I've seen has been the ball has done exactly what my club face said it would, pull was a pull, shank a shank... Never had issues with detecting shots either.  It's missed maybe 5 of 500 shots.

  • Use mine indoors into a screen my ball was going right 90% of the time. Another user said to check the level. By that I mean the level of what the R10 is setting on. Mine was off some side to side I shimmed the mat it was on level and the direction problem was solved for me anyway.
