Garmin Approach R10 and problems connecting to Android tablet

When attempting to connect the Garmin Approach R10 to my new Android based tablet, the Garmin Golf App tells me I must install Garmin Connect in order to connect my device to the tablet. When I install Garmin Connect, I can find the R10 just fine, but when I attempt to connect it, Garmin Connect tells me to "Install The Latest Version of the Garmin Golf App".......which Is already installed. Then, the whole connection process becomes a VERY frustrating loop.................. and the R!0 never connects. Can anyone help? Garmin could not.

When I first tried the R10, I used my phone but realized I didn't want my phone as the main unit if my son wants to use the R10. I took out an old android phone, installed the Garmin Golf app and tried to connect. Problem was since it was already "connected" to Garmin Golf, it didn't try to go through the pairing with the new phone. I had to remove the device from Golf and then add it back in and go through the Bluetooth paring again. Works fine now without Garmin Connect as Garmin Golf is the only app on the phone. Did you have the R10 connected to a different device first?

Same here and once you have the Garmin app it doesnt have all the features of the Garmin app through the phone. It seemed like a different offering alltogether. A bit confused here..

No. The tablet was the first thing I tried. The phone installation went fine.

I think I figured out a workaround. I was trying to pair my new R10 to a Samsung tablet and getting the "Install The Latest Version of the Garmin Golf App" loop. When I downloaded the golf app on my tablet , the play store gave me version 1.5.1 or something close to that. My phone has version 2.2.2.

The workaround. Use the file explorer on your phone to find the Garmin Golf .apk file. Bluetooth/file share it to your tablet. Open and install the .apk. Your tablet will now pair with your R10.

You may have to do this again if there's a major update to the golf app. I don't know if the tablet will automatically get updates like my phone.

2. Click on "Download APK"

3. After download completed, click on the .apk file just download to install. You must give all permission to install the app.

I just downloaded and successfully installed v2.6.1 from apkcombo.com onto my Samsung Tab S7 tablet. This worked, and I can now connect to my new R10 using my Samsung tablet. Thanks for posting the solution! It remains a mystery why Garmin have not resolved this basic issue in the last year...

Tried many times but it still doesn't support add related stuff like kof 2002 magic plus . All Androids have this problem

I did all of this but I get the couldnt parse file error. Any advice?

I tried that and my tablet gave me the 'unable to parse' error. Any advice? Thanks.
