The data, such as club head speed, ball spin, launch angle among others requires hitting a ball. If the swing sticks don't allow for striking a ball, it won't be able to provide any of those metrics.
Disappointing it cant be used for speed training. Really missing a trick here as it sounds like a brilliant device apart from this.
I know Garmin updated the approach G80 to capture these swings so wonder is it something that will likely be added to this device?
What kind of answer is this? Did he ask for ball spin and launch angle? The technology definitely is there for swing speed etc, or does Garmin G80 have something g10 doesn't? Most other launch monitors have this feature, do you have any plans to add it to g10 since it's just a software issue?
It's the standard answer.
There is a 2 year old thread on this subject, with 23 pages of users wanting this feature.
And if Garmin can't answer if this feature is being implemented after 2 years, I can only assume it won't be.
Probably will on R11 or whatever they will call it.
