High Speed Player Accuracy

I swing in the mid 120s on Trackman and I just got one of these because it could supposedly read high speed players. I was hoping to use it in my speed training but it seems to max out at 116 mph swing speed and 178 ball speed. Is this a known issue? If so, how soon will it be fixed. Its quite disappointing. Thank you.

Is 116 the highest you get on practice swings (not hitting a ball) and on swings hitting a ball? I also do speed training and never see higher then 114 on practice swings.

Actually, just got a 117 to happen while hitting a ball. Typically, when hitting a ball, 114 to 116 are common. Almost impossible to get over 116 even though I have verfied I am swinging well above that. I haven't tried to max out swinging without ball yet, will give it a go.

It appears this seems to be the case for people who are doing practice swings without hitting a ball. It looks like I have already added you to the ticket that is under review by our Golf engineers.

Just tested 3.40. Looks like swing speed cap is fixed. Ball speed seems to still be capped at 178 mph though. Thanks for the update. Hopefully the next one will fix the ball speed cap issue.

I tested 3.40 some more and preliminarily, looks like the cap for swing speed is "maybe" gone regardless of if you are hitting a ball or not (please read further for details). I will be testing further with a Superspeed club because when I tested hitting balls and with practice driver swings, I seemed to top out at 130 a lot. In order to be useful for swing training for a wide spectrum of consumers, the G80 needs to read 150+ as some of the practice clubs are lighter than a driver and can be swung much faster.

Also,I don't know if anyone else has brought this up or can confirm but my G80 definitely has a hard cap at 178 mph ball speed. I hit exactly that number all of the time. I know its a cap and not my actual limit because I severely miss hit some balls and still capped it out. To me, this is the biggest problem that is keeping this product from being perfect for my needs.

I confirmed I can get practice swings well beyond 130. Thanks again for fixing that.
