What formula is used to estimate the carry distance?

Since the swing speed, and ball speed are measured directly by radar, I can trust these values. However, my carry distances are much shorter than expected from these values.

Is the mathematical formula used to estimate the carry distance available? Thanks.

I am sorry there is not any information that can be provided due to the calculations and algorithms being used are all considered proprietary technology.

Ok, that is understandable.

Please look at everyones feedback, the Carry distance formula is 20-30 yards wrong on the garmin app. If you use E6 or Awesome Golf, the distances are correct. It's not a hardware issue, but the garmin software app needs to be fixed...there's obviously a bug making the carry distances off

My carry is always longer than what the G80 suggests while the roll is shorter. Hitting towards targets @ 100m and seems like 10m off on the carry. I guess it sometimes could be attributed to wind but Ive never seen it accurate even in perfect conditions. Makes we wonder how the device is making use of launch angle, perhaps its not even measured? If the launch angle is measured why not display it to improve the device?
