G80 Distances and speeds

Hi I'm looking for some assistance with my approach G80. The radar feature is extremely inconsistent.

I generally swing on average 90-100mph but the unit is reading my hardest swings as 50-60 mph with pitching wedge for example returning distances of 70 and 80 yards when the ball generally goes around 120-130 (carry) do I have a faulty unit?

Bought brand new last month from Affordable Golf.

I have updated the unit as instructed and set it up the same way every time I use it. I have had it recording the correct distances before but for the past week it's not been giving me accurate measurements.

Thoughts?

Double check your setting in your Approach G80 to ensure all your settings are set to Yards. Otherwise, you are going to run into an issue if your Golf courses played are using Yards too.

I have not seen any history of issues with the end result of shots made when the Approach G80. As long as the unit is properly setup. Please make sure the roll factor is set.

Not really. Measurements are a lot more realistic on the course. But in a cage, for whatever reason they are way off what you would expect. This could be down to elements and turf interaction but you'd expect consistency with high end products such as this....

Agreed. I got mine this week and use it in my garage and my 9 iron was way off. A carry of 105 to 115. I know for a fact its at least 135 all day. Can I find ways to amend it? no. All I see is the suggestion that it's our fault and we're not setting it up right.

I can appreciate that it can't be bob on all the time but every youtube review has never mentioned this problem. So either I'm going daft or it's a faulty unit.
