Stop scorecard from using handicap?

I have been using the in-round score tracking on my Approach G80, which is a nice feature especially with the syncing to the iPhone app.

However, despite the fact that I have "Scoring Handicap" set to OFF in device settings, the scorecard still seems to be showing it.   For example, if I bogey the #1 handicap hole the scorecard shows it as a 5/4 and the score counts it as a 4.

One of my goals each round is to keep my score in the 70s.  This adjusted scoring is really annoying in that regard.  It's great to have an option to calculate round handicap after the fact, or have a toggle to turn it on and off.   But, not being able to disable it is really annoying.

** Note that my software is not up to date.  I just checked and I'm running 2.70 and there is one firmware update after that version.  But, 2.70 release notes claim that an issue that sounds like what I'm seeing is fixed "Fixed issue with live scoring to ensure that we only accept user handicap from the Golf app if handicap scoring is not enabled in G80’s device settings"

-- By the way, that's the worst issue with the G80 - the inability to update courses or firmware via wifi or bluetooth to the Connect app.  Huge pain in the butt.
