How do I change the hole handicap (stroke index) on the g80?

Hi,

The hole handicaps (stroke indexes) allocated to the holes are incorrect, how do I change this on my G80 approach?

i have been in touch with Garmin tech support, he’s raised a case now to have it looked at so hopefully it will be rectified soon

I don't have the G80 but a Fenix 6 pro. The issue is also that you can't change the index after you've finished a game. I just played (very badly) a competition and told my partner I had 31 points in Stableford…

There is good reason why this question was never fully answered and Garmin has gone silent.

After purchasing a G80 and upon set-up and testing not being able to find where to do this, I queried this direct with Garmin via email

Found out today from Paul at Garmin Europe, that changing the par or the handicap for a hole is NOT available on the G80.

Mind boggling, as this was a very useful feature, dating back at least 10 years and was available on both the G6 & G8. Surely it could have easily been part of any new device, especially the flagship G80 version

As a result, the G80 will be going straight back to Garmin for a full refund and I won’t consider a premium Garmin Golf GPS until this functionality comes back in hopefully their next release.

When does this get fixed? As by us the course changed and they are still wrong numbers all over it`!
