How do you record a penalty stroke?

I noticed in the garmin app, there is a section that indicates "penalties" and to enter them on your watch during the round. Is it possible to do this with the G80?

Your Approach G80 does not have its own category or menu to record a penalty stroke. You will edit your hole score if wanting to add into your total shots.

Sorry for replying to such an old thread an answer but the reason to add a penalty shot surely got nothing to do with the score on the hole. You enter the number os shots taken and the penalty is just used for the app to calculate how often you take a penalty and see if you improve your game. So why this functionality is missing in the G80 and G30 and available in the watches is really strange.
