Session message in FIT coming EDGE 1050 contains wrong timestamp?!

Today I did my first ride with a brand new Edge 1050 (firmware 28.33). In the FIT file session message field 253 must contain the session end time. I find a value which is identical to field 2 (start_time). Is this an error coming from my own parser, of does anyone else also have this issue?

I fully agree that this might be an issue in de firmware of the Edge 1050, not in the FIT SDK/

The timestamp field, id 253, does not represent the session end time. Rather it is the time at which the message was written to the file. The 1050 writes the summary messages at the beginning of the file, so the timestamps will match the start time of the activity.

The end time is calculated by adding the total_elapsed_time to the start_time. This post may be of use.
