Activity Name in Garmin Connect

Hello,

I have Fit file which I would like to give it an name when I import it into Garmin Connect, i.e. Big Run. I was wondering how this is done when the FIT Protocol doesn't allow user defined names in the file. I guess they want nothing but binary data in the file.

Connect names the activity based on a couple of properties of the activity like location and activity type. The FIT protocol does not support naming an activity, there's simply no field for in activity related messages (as far as I can tell). Other types of FIT files do support naming, for example Courses.
