Despite selecting "Enabled" on "Elev Corrections" in Garmin Connect, when downloading individual .fit files, I continue to get the "Disabled" / uncorrected number.
How do I get the corrected number?

Garmin Connect allows you to "Export Original" which will give you the original FIT file created by the device. The original file will not contain the corrected elevation data. But it looks like if you "Export to TCX" that the elevation values are corrected ones. I tested by downloading a TCX, changing the Elevation Correction setting, downloading the TCX again, and then diff'ing the two TCX files. The diff shoed that all of the elevation values were different.
The support team may be able to provide you with more details as to the intended behavior.

Thank you, but manually downloading and then collating 200 TCX files would take ages.
The device does a pretty lousy job of collecting elevation data. It's amazing that a user can neither (a) correct the elevation data in bulk on Garmin Connect (b) download this data, especially in a data dump.
