Updating the Garmin Catalyst device with software version 5.30 seems to now prevent the creation of FIT files. A Catalyst support ticket response is that "The .fit files have been removed by design."
Is this really a new policy? Has Garmin decided to no longer allow developers access to the Catalyst FIT files after several years? Does Garmin plan to do this with other devices as well?
