Retrieve the heart rate in real time of a GARMIN FORERUNNER 235 watch using an ANT+ key.

Hello, I currently have a study project which consists of using a Garmin watch and an ANT Usb Stick 2 key.

I am programming a Windows application in java where I need to retrieve the heart rate of the person wearing the watch in real time. But I can't do it at all.. Can you help me?
Otherwise, if it is possible and easier to save this frequency in a .txt file from a program, it can work.

I already go on tis website, and i try many things.

But I think Java is only for Android devices with the ANT+ JDK...

Not sure what the state of the art for FIT in Java is, layered on top of USB etc.

There are several Python projects that are available.

The technology that you want to use is ANT+. A similar question was posted to the ANT+ forums a while back, and one of the replies mentions an open source Java library.

If real time is not a hard requirement, the watch will store the heart-rate data in a FIT file and you can use the FIT Java SDK to decode the file. Or use the FIT CSV Tool to convert the binary FIT file to a CSV file. Look at the FitToCSV-record.bat file that comes with the SDK, it uses the --data option, which will produce a CSV file that is more than likely what you are looking for.
