I´ve compared activities in Garmin Connect with my wife’s Polar M460 (flow.polar.com). She can in much higher grade cut and pull-out own segments from existing values than me. For example. If she marks a segment so to say afterwards flow can reproduce the following data: the segments show in his map route, i diagram with all the values creates in which values as: speed, altitude, average- and maximum heartrate are presented in a vivid way.
The only way to overcome this problem is to create own laps on the route. But is only so efficient to its extent that these laps are interesting and represent what I want to analyse in retrospect. She is therefore not depended on these laps - on route - in that sense.
While I tried to do overcome this problem I´ve been forced to transfer the training file to another program, like Golden Cheetah, a - to say the least - not the best user-friendly program. I guess all the values is embedded in Connect and that Flow simply has more advanced possibilities than connect in it´s built-in software (?). In that sense it´s quite troublesome that Garmin is the computer most frequently used among those riders I know, and thereto should consider this upgrade while Polar in contrast seems to reduce it´s focus on cycling computers.
