Construct Fit File

Hi all,

I am new to the Fit SDK and on cursory view couldn't find what I was looking for, hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

I have a bunch of data points from my app (sort of like an array of trackpoints in a tcx). I am hoping to take those values to construct a fit file with them. I noticed that the Fit class has a constructor but nothing to send data into. Is this possible with the SDK? My guess is that I need to send messages to the fit file but I am not connecting the dots on how to do that.

Apologies for what is probably a very newbie question and any help would be appreciated.

Start out by looking at the FIT File Types documentation. If this is data that you are recording with an app, then you want to create a FIT Activity file. https://developer.garmin.com/fit/file-types/

There is an example of how to encode a FIT Activity file in the FIT Cookbook. The recipes are in C#, but the concepts apply other languages. The code that goes with the recipes can be found in the SDK. https://developer.garmin.com/fit/cookbook/
