Hello. We have downloading a new version of the Fitcsvtool from here developer.garmin.com/.../, uploaded this to our server, but the resulting files pushed through started failing. We ran the simulator and this showed no errors. Is there a reason/solution to this?

thank you.

  • I am sorry to hear that you are having issues with the FITCSV Tool. The v21.40 release of the FIT SDK added new types to the GarminProduct enum and Sport enum, which should not have affected the FITCSV Tool. Can you be more specific with the errors that you are seeing? Are you using the tool to convert FIT files to CSV or CSV files to FIT? Where are you getting the files that you are converting? What is the "simulator" that you are using to verify the behavior? With a little more information, I am sure we can figure out what is going on.

Thank you for your reply.  we are using the tool to convert FIT files to CSV files.  The FIt files are pushed through from Garmin , they are then converted and we use the information for the end users to see their activity data on our site.  When we uploaded the new file to our server, the activity files no longer came through and we received an overall error  HTTP/1.1 500 Server Error.  The simulator we used to check was the GarminConnect Push API simulator v1.3

  • It sounds like you are having an issue with the Connect PUSH API, and not the FIT SDK. There is a private forum for API users available in the developer portal. You can also contact the API support team directly at [email protected].

thank you.  we have already contacted support  [email protected]  who asked me to try via this forum.  However, I will try the email you have suggested as perhaps that is a different department?  and the other forum
