920XT recognizes (simple) Garmin HRM1 Heart Rate Monitor but won't connect

I am using the 920XT and would like to connect it to an (older) Garmin HRM1 heart rate monitor. When I try to pair and connect it, the 920XT recognizes the HRM immediately. However, when trying to "connect" (in German: "Verbinden"), the connection can not be established. I did reset the HRM a couple of times, replaced the battery, always the same: the strap is recognized immediately, but the watch won't connect to the HRM. :confused:

The HRM1 does connect seamlessly to our older ForeTrex 401 and Forerunner 305, though. :confused:

Any help or hint or tip would be much appreciated.

Leider kann ich nicht helfen - habe jedoch seit FW 3.30 das gleiche Problem, dass die Uhr den alten Gurt nicht mehr erkennt. An der Batterie liegt es nicht, denn das Oregon erkennt den Gurt.

same problem here. hrm1 is being recognized but cannot connect is always showing "connecting..". although the hrm1 shows up in compatibility list of the fr920xt. connection to hrm2 works without a problem. I already contacted garmin support about this but have not received an answer yet. hrm1 has a new battery and works with edge 800, edge 305 and even my samsung galaxy a5 phone with ant+.

Changes made from version 3.30 to 4.06:

Fixed an issue with connecting to legacy heart rate monitor straps.

My Forerunner 920xt just has been updated to 4.2 online yesterday. But as I have sold my hrm1 with my edge 800 I cannot test it anymore. BTW: still no response from garmin support :-(

Ja leider - funktioniert immer noch nicht. Trotz dem Hinweis im Update :-(.
Vielleicht funktioniert es irgendwann doch noch (womöglich mit Update 12.70 ;-) )
