I'm planning a 2000 km bicycle trip using Komoot and will create a multi-day tour by splitting one big route into daily stages. These stages will sync to my Garmin device for navigation. However, as we all know, plans can change, and I might ride more or less than expected on certain days.
I have two scenarios where I need clarification:
-
Riding less than planned (stopping early) – If I stop before the planned endpoint for the day, can I simply restart the same track the next day, and will Garmin continue navigating from where I left off? If not, what’s the best way to resume?
-
Riding further than planned (continuing onto the next stage) – If I ride beyond the planned endpoint and onto the next stage, how can I load the next track early? More importantly, how can I ensure that my Garmin records a single continuous activity for that day instead of splitting it?
At the end of the trip, I need to guarantee that I can follow navigation every day and that all my rides are correctly recorded as individual daily activities.
Any advice or best practices would be greatly appreciated!
