Loss of satellite signal & unreliable navigation

I have a new Edge 530, it has the most recent updates loaded (as at January 2020). I am consistently having issues with it reporting loss of satellite signal, and hence unreliable navigation. I'm using it in the same areas that I've used an Edge 520 without any problems, and am using courses that mapped correctly on the Edge 520. I've seen a number of reports on this issue going back months, but can't find a formal response - or fix - from Garmin. Does anyone have a solution?
