Big disappointment!!!
As a Garmin Edge 1040 user, I’m very disappointed with the ClimbPro feature, which ignores many real climbs simply because they are shorter than 500 meters, even when the gradient exceeds 10%.
In practice—especially in gravel riding or with an e-bike—these short, steep climbs are the most demanding and require anticipation. The fact that ClimbPro filters them out by default with no user control makes it unsuitable for anything outside of road racing.
I strongly urge Garmin to implement:

a way to customize detection thresholds (minimum climb length, minimum gradient);

or to add a “detailed” or “gravel-friendly” ClimbPro mode that is more inclusive for off-road, e-bike, and leisure riders.
This would be a major improvement for all riders navigating varied terrain who are not performance-focused athletes.
