Indoor Walk mode

Just curious why there is not auto pause for indoor walk mode. I'd like to wear my 35 at work to count steps but really don't want the timer running all the time. Any work around?Thanks

I am able to pause during indoor walking mode. You press the button and a menu pops up. The timer is paused then you can select "resume" when your are ready to start walking again

If you want to know your steps for the whole day at work, I wouldn't use an activity for that.
