I’ve been researching the best Fitbit options over the past few days because I want a reliable fitness tracker to help support my health and activity goals.
After reading expert reviews on Wirecutter (NYT), Consumer Reports, and watching a bunch of tech YouTube channels, two models keep coming up as top recommendations:
Garmin vívosmart® 5, Fitness Tracker

Garmin vívoactive 5, Health and Fitness GPS Smartwatch

I’m mainly focused on tracking daily steps, heart rate, sleep, and workouts. I also want:
-
Solid battery life
-
Comfortable wear throughout the day
-
Built-in GPS (for walks and outdoor runs)
I don’t really care about music storage or voice assistants.
If anyone has personal experience with either of these—or just solid advice on which might suit me better—I’d really appreciate your input.
Thanks in advance!
