Do I need the app open to get notifications

Just got this trackers and my notifications only work when the app is open. How do I still get my notifications with it closed. I’m using iPhone

Hello,

have you already set up your notification settings on your smartphone. Therefore please follow these steps:
Settings > Notifications > Garmin Connect App > Allow Notifications
Choose also Show Previews > Always (Default)

Open Garmin Connect App > Settings > Messages > iOS Notifications > turn on
