New user: How to install and use an app

I am a new vivoactive 3 user, and I am trying to add the hike 2+ app. My phone acts like it has downloaded and installed the app, but I can't see any difference in my device at all. I don't see any new screens. Since I also cannot find a user guide to the Hike 2+ app, only that hikers like it, I don't know what I am looking for or where. How do you find these things out? The user guide gives no guidance and neither does the app store.

I installed it to see what happens. You can check in Connect if it was succesfully downloaded (Select the watch en check 'applications, apps and more'. You should see it there, but it has a '+' sign in front of it. If you press the '+' it moves up to the section you can see when you single short press the button on the watch (You could see it on the watch when you select the colored dots on the bottom on the watch as well). Another tip, if you single press the line on Hike2, you can set the options in the app.

Hope this is clear, it works fine om my Va3M, so should work for you as well.

So, widgets are shown during swipe, but applications only when you single press the button to show you activities.
