After using this device for 3 weeks I would like to share some quality of life improvements that I would like to see.
Notifications:
1. When getting a text from a group chat that doesn't have a title, every single person in the chat is listed as the title. It's really annoying to do a lot of scrolling when I get notifications from a big group chat and have to search for where the message starts. Please just put "..." after a few names.
2. Please also put a space between the title and the message to make it easier to see where the message starts.
3. When turning off notifications from apps on the watch, this stops pop-up notifications from apps which is great but there is still a problem. Even though app notifications stop popping up, they still appear in the watch's notification app/widget which is very annoying. Please turn off all app notifications across the device and not just stop them from popping up. This also happens for text and call notifications if they are turned off.
Activities:
1. I would love to see the titles of stats like "Calories" or "Pace" be the same color as the activity's accent color. This would make it easier to read the stats at a glance while working out. So, instead of having lots of white text blending together, the color would help separate things.
2. For swim based activities, I like that it gives you instructions to hold the side buttons to save/delete the activity if you are confused on how to do that. However it seems like the instructions kinda pop-up randomly. When I was first trying to exit the activity, I was taping the screen and pressing the buttons but no instructions would pop-up. Having the instructions pop-up after lots of screen/button tapping would make more sense instead of the instructions popping up randomly (at least it feels random).
Clock Faces:
1. There are some great analog and digital clock face fonts that ain't available when creating a custom clock face. Having more fonts (that are already on the watch) available when creating a custom watch face would be an amazing update!
2. Lastly, because the Venu 3 is more of a smartwatch compared to the other Garmin devices, I would love to see some more modern clock faces.
