Fenix 5 Update 3.30

Offiziell draußen ohne beta.
Changes made from version 2.90 to 3.30:

Added support for managing automatic software updates (Settings > System > Software Update > Auto Update). Setting Auto Update to 'Off' will disable downloads of software updates using Garmin Connect Mobile and Wi-Fi.
Added support for hiding the distance to next field, shown by default on the map page while navigating. (Settings > Navigation > Data Screens > Map > Data Field)
Added support for viewing navigation data pages on the Head Mounted Display (HMD).
Improved the power controls menu and introduced a 'disabled' state for connected features like Find My Phone, Music Controls etc. These applications will no longer disappear from the power controls menu, when the user has lost connection to the Garmin Connect Mobile App.
Added support for managing unit settings for pressure, altimeter and temperature from corresponding widget settings menu.
Improved the reliability of LiveTrack.
Improved the responsiveness of steps auto-goal.
Improved the activity settings menu by hiding GPS specific settings when GPS is turned off.
Fixed an issue where coordinate entry was not working correctly for Russian and Hungarian.
Fixed an issue, where the watch would incorrectly report that GPS signal was lost, while using UltraTrac.
Fixed a potential issue where the currently selected watch face may change after a software update.
Fixed an issue where the device could crash when applying a FaceIt watch face from the Garmin Connect Mobile App.
Fixed an issue, where the option to 'Copy Activity' was present in the main menu for non-copyable apps like Golf.
Fixed an issue, where the unit would crash when creating a custom alert for a new 'Other' app.
Fixed an issue, where the virtual partner fields, 'Time Ahead' and 'Time Behind' won't update during an activity.
Fixed an issue, where an empty elevation plot was being displayed during activity review for apps like, 'Rowing', which doesn't record elevation data.
Fixed an issue, where the device was calculating VO2 max for activities using UltraTrac.
Fixed an issue, where the option to 'Copy Activity' was present in the main menu for non-copyable apps like Golf.

    Nö, bei mir heute auch wieder mehrfach bei Radfahren.


    Mehrfach sogar? Bei mir dauert es zehn Minuten und dann bleibt es ok ... allerdings nur beim Laufen und Wandern. Radfahren läuft ohne Probleme. Sehr merkwürdig, das alles.

    Dem Fenix 5x FW Team ist der Fehler bekannt und es wird daran gearbeitet.


    Sicher? Der 'Fachmann' aus dem Beta-Bereich lässt mich da zweifeln ... :cool:

    Habe vorhin die Aktivität "Gehen" getestet, da war der gleiche Fehler mit der Kartendarstellung. Ich habe auch schon ein Zurücksetzen auf Werkseinstellungen gemacht, hat aber keine Besserung gebracht. Immer dasselbe Bild: 5 Minuten funktioniert die Karte, danach läuft sie aus dem Bild heraus wenn man sich bewegt und dreht sich auch nicht mehr in Laufrichtung. Nach ca. 10 Minuten geht dann wieder alles wie vorher. Hatte ich wie gesagt bei 2.90 nicht.Karten sind alle originalen aktiviert bis auf die Garmin Cycle Map.

    Ich hoffe die Jungs vom Garmin FW Team bekommen das schnell in den Griff.

    Ist eigentlich auch ein Downgrade auf 2.90 möglich? Bei der Beta wird der alte Firmware Stand ja in einen Ordner geschrieben bei einem regulären Update ist das nicht so.

    Ich finde es eigentlich unmöglich von Garmin, dass sie die 3.30 trotz dieses dann doch offensichtlich bekannten Problems 'offiziell' machen ... !!

    Ist ja nicht das einzige Problem.

    Das Datenfeld "verbleibende Distanz" zeigt unabhängig von den verwendeten Einstellungen/Karten auch immer nur die Luftliniendistanz zum Ziel, anstatt ggf. der realen (auf Karte berechneten) Distanz an, wenn man eine Route auf der Karte berechnet...

    Sieht man schön, wenn man die Gesamtdistanz im Höhenprofil (da stimmt sie) anschaut und mit der angeteigten "verbleibende Distanz" vergleicht. Ist vielen evtl noch gar nicht so aufgefallen...

    Ich habe ein Problem mit dem Wecker ...
    Der stellt sich immer automatisch auf Ton und Vibration,
    muss täglich wieder auf Vibration stellen.
    Hängt irgendwie mit dem Synchronisieren von Connect zusammen.

    Hier ein Löungsweg für das Problem, gefunden im US Forum:

    You can have vibrate only alarms but here's how you do it.
    1. Delete all your alarms in the app and then sync to your watch (make sure your alarms are gone from the watch)
    2. Open the Connect website (connect.garmin.com) and go to the Device page.
    3. Create your alarms here - you can select vibration only on this page. Once done hit save.
    4. Re-open the Connect app on your phone - let it sync to your watch. You'll have alarms without vibration.

    Don't go back into alarms on the app (or the watch) and you should be fine. It's annoying as heck to have to do this but it does work for now.


    Problem scheint bekannt zu sein, liegt aber wohl an der Connect App und nicht an der Uhr selber.

    Seit dem Update sind die WatchFaces eigentlich nicht mehr zu gebrauchen. Gearmin ist ja bereits bekannt als Fehleranfällig. Mein Ausgleich WatchFace "My Watch" funktioniert jetzt leider auch nicht mehr. Hier wird es dringend Zeit für ein neues Update.
