malformed .fit files

I have a Garmin 820 and long rides won't upload to my Strava account. When I go into the Garmin to try to upload it manually, it says the file is malformed. This happens every time I ride over 100 km. I am so angry and about ready to pitch my Garmin out the window. Can anyone help?

Zip then attach the file to this thread. We can take a look to see if it is repairable.

Zip the file, then in a reply post Insert >> Image/video/file >> click Upload >> browse for file >> OK.
Or upload the fit file to a reputable file sharing service, such as OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, make the file public, then paste a link to the file in your post.

Sadly, I went to do that and when I went into my history and rides, the filing question was gone. This is such a disappointment. This was my local grand Fondo ride.

By the way, I was able to pull the file off of my device and fix it a month ago. This file was showing in the activities history on the actual device, but when I connected it to Garmin connect on my laptop, it was not there. I'm about ready to give up on Garmin.
