situation on iPhone 15pro iOS before iOS 26.1:
- open Apple Maps
- find location or point of interest
- select location
- tap share location
- select garmin connect app
- select which device the location should be shared to - in my case Garmin Edge 1040
- pop up window on Garmin edge 1040 - location shared
- Location appeared in recent searches on Garmin edge 1040
- I'm happy and can navigate to location very quickly
situation on iPhone 15pro iOS after iOS 26.1:

- I am very unhappy and can not navigate to location
I have spend more than wanted amount of time looking for remedy, went through Garmin and redit forums, only to find that many people have the same issue. But no solution is available.
I have installed all latest SW releases on my Iphone on my Edge 1040.
I have reinstalled all the garmin SW
I have also tried to do all that via GArmin connect SW on my laptop
Nothing helps - sharing location is still not possible.
Dear Garmin Support - can you please do something about this - it can not be that difficult! You made it work once already - so repeat this marvelous miracle again!
I would be very happy customer.
Or at least do not ignore all the folks who have the issue - if this can not be fixed for whatever reason - just explain that and I will stop searching.
It is very frustrating and not fun at all.
