Yesterday I was cycling on my road bike for 30km in the morning and later the same day for 32km. The activity was recorded with a Garmin Edge 1030, it was saved to Garmin Connect, strava and komoot properly. The activity with all the heart rate is existing in the database. For heartrate tracking I used the Garmin run HRM.
I also own a Garmin Fenix 6s pro. I know, when I record an acitivity with the Fenix alone I have to check carefully that the clock is on the right spot on my arm to have "activity minutes" in Garmin Connect.
I don´t get the point why the EDGE 1030 is incapable of generating activity minutes (no matter if the Fenix was worn correctly or not).
I also do indoor cycling on zwift (with the 1030 and the Run HRM). Most of the time, when I wear the Fenix, I have activity minutes from the Fenix. If not, then the Fenix was not worn correclty, I think by myself.
But to be honest, the data is existingr, recorded by Garmin and uploaded online. I don´t get it, why the 1030 alone should be incapable of generating activity minutes. Is this only a feature of Garmins "clock type wearables"?
The Fenix 6s pro and Edge 1030 are the high end trackers and I thought they shoulld work together perfectly. If the Fenix was not worn correctly there should be routines that calculate the activity minutes afterwards.
Doing an intense training of nearly three hours and having no single activitiy minute recorded is very frustrating. Especially if Garmin has all the data (HR, GPS, type of activity, duration etc.) saved on the server.
I hope to find an answer to this topic.
PS: The activity that I did after my cycling was having a walk of about 40 minutes. Because of having a higher heart rate while my walk, those 40 minutes counted as activity minutes...
PS 2: The HRM Run is also conntected to my Fenix 6s pro. The HR should also be recorded by the Fenix, no matter if I wear the Fenix correctly or not
