BMW Nav V - Kartenupdate SD Karte wird nicht erkannt von Garmin Express

Hallo,

hoffe jemand hat eine Idee.
Ich wollte mein BMW Nav V auf die aktuelle Kartenversion aktualisieren (2025/10). Garmin Express meldet, dass das Update für den internen Speicher zu groß ist und empflieht die Installationauf einer SD Karte.

In meinem Nav V is eine 64 GB SD Karte drin, aber Garmin Express erkennt diese nicht. Im Windows Dateiexplorer wird die SD angezeigt.
Formatiert ist die SD als FAT32 und im Moment sind 59GB frei.

Für Eure Hilfe wäre ich dankbar

Hi, I had a problem with my Nuvi not detecting a formatted 32gb SD card. After much searching I found advice that if you go to the volume settings, then hold your finger for 10 seconds on the top right of the screen a new advanced settings menu appears. Find "MTP settings" and check the box. Then the Nuvi will discover the SD card and save to it. No idea why Garmin make this complicated.

Hi, Garmin Express only allows SD cards up to 32gb so first of all get a card 32gb or less. However I still had a problem with my Garmin Nuvi not finding a formatted 32gb SD card. After much searching I found advice that if you go to the volume settings screen, then hold your finger in the top right hand corner for 10 seconds an advanced settings menu appears. Find "MTP settings" and check the box, then your Nuvi will find and save to the SD card. No idea why Garmin make this complicated.

Hi, thanks for your reply. Menawhile I solved the problem on an easy way. I just replaced the SD card with another one. With new SD everything works fine.
