My Fenix 5 won't connect to the Garmin express

My Fenix 5 won't connect to the Garmin express site to get new items, the watch says it is connected to the computer but the site keeps searching for it.

    Check the contacts on the watch if they still look like golden domes or if the centre has eroded away. If so, contact support. Also try a different cable.
