Repeated Failure to update maps on Garmin Express on Both Edge 820 and Fenix 5 plus. Always stuck at around 33%. Both iMac and MacBook Pro tried.

For 2 weeks I have not been able to update the maps on Both of my Garmin devices. repeated "failed to update" messages occur. Always at around 33%. Tried 2 devices and 2 computers without success. restarted computer multiple times and reinstalled connect at least once. I have never had this issue before. It is limited to the last map update from last week.
