Windows Basecamp 4.7.1 OSM Karten entfernen, wo installieren?

Da die gleiche Frage schon 6 Jahre alt ist, daher wieder

Derzeit Basecamp Windows 4.7.1 mit verschiedenen OSM Karten, die ich im Laufe der Zeit auch mit früherer Versionen installiert habe. Derzeit habe ich das Problem, daß ich Karten von www.alternativasliebres.org nach der Installation im Basecamp nicht finde. Das funktionierte in den vergangenen Jahren problemlos.

Wie entferne ich installierte Karten?

Kann ich beim Installieren der neuen Karten beliebig wählen, wohin ich sie haben will? Rein technisch habe ich die Auswahl bei der Installation, aber funktionieren diese selbsgewählten Destinationen auch tatsächlich?

Wenn ich Karten neu installiere, in welches Verzeichnis?

Deinstallation von Version 4.7.0 und Neuinstallation von 4.7.1 hat nichts gebracht

Problem solved:

The maps cannot be installed into every dir I choose. I uninstalled all maps and started to try to install again. When I installed into a self created dir on volume D: I could not see the maps in Basecamp. When I installed into c:\Program Data\Garmin\Maps (also as admin) then I could find them in Basecamp. So far so good. I also had noticed that the Canary Islands maps of www.alternativaslibres.es did not contain any more info than the outlines of the islands and some big cities. I realized after many attempts that the website, which had offered these maps for free before, charges for the Canary Islands maps now. I installed an older free version of last year still on my computer, then it worked as before. I also tried the Canary Islands maps of https://www.freizeitkarte-osm.de/garmin/de/index.html and it worked also, even supplying isohypses.
