Can I use the Garmin Messenger app with my inReach Explorer Plus? Is it compatible?

If I can only use Earthmate, will it send messages using cellular data or only satellite?

Garmin Messenger app is not compatible with the inReach Explorer+. When sending messages with Earthmate the messages will always go over the satellite network.
