Selecting "locate" gives error message "something went wrong"

Connected devices - Fenix 8 51mm Amoled, GPSMAP 66i

Using GM on Android, everything works ok it seems EXCEPT if I select 'locate' I get the error message "Something went wrong, please try again later"

I have two phones a main one and a running phone (one I dont feel quite so upset if I drop lol) and GM gives the same message on both. The GPSMAP 66i is only paired to the running phone as it can only pair to one device

 What is the country that you're currently located in? 
 Which country is your main phone number associated with? 
 Which country is your running phone number associated with? 
 If either of the phones was purchased in or set up in a different country than the phone number, please let me know that as well.**
