I've been having this problem since I've bought inReach Mini 2 in 2023. I haven't used it much in the last year, but now my son and I will and would like to get to the bottom of it.
The issue is that check-in messages never arrive to a specific number. In our family we have 3 numbers: my main one (let's say number A) is the one I've registered the device with. Then there are my son's one (let's say B) and my partner's (number C). No matter what I do the check-in messages never arrive at number A. But they consistently arrive at numbers B and C. I have tried manually entering number A, adding it from the system numbers (Messenger on Android),.. nothing seems to help. The number has been in use for over three decades, there are no blocks by the telecom operator (verified in person at their office), all the numbers are from the same operator,...
The strange thing is that if I send a message (not check-in), but a typed message to the same number goes through. I can also add my email address and it gets delivered.
So out of all the options the only one that is not working and never has is sending a check-in message to my main number. The main issue is that my son will now be starting to ride a motorcycle, but I cannot receive check-in messages from the device. When my son starts riding, I will have him send a check-in message every once in a while. But as of now I cannot receive it.
Has anyone encountered anything similar?
