"The phone number provided is not currently in a supported network"

Hi there,

I bought Garmin InReach Mini 2 in the single official shop in Yerevan, Armenia. I downloaded Garmin Messenger app for Android. I opened it and on the page 'Verify Your Phone Number' when I input my armenian number starting from +374 i see red text saying "The phone number provided is not currently in a supported network". I presume this makes your device an unusable piece of brick for me, right? And I better return it fast since it can't provide any service in the county i live in?

Contact Garmin Support to have them check what is causing this message. Some telecom providers have issues delivering the SMS messages used by inReach, this could be one of them. Only Garmin can confirm this.

Technically you can use the inReach Mini 2 without the Messenger app, and either activate your inReach subscription via Garmin Explore website or via the Garmin Explore app. You can send messages from the Mini 2 itself or from the Garmin Explore app, if you do not have the Messenger app installed. Messenger app is needed if you want to seamlessly send messages whether you're on Wi-Fi, cellular or satellite only.
