Handicap setting not syncing

I have set my WHS handicap in my S50. Scoring Method -> stroke play, Handicap Scoring -> Index/Slope, Set Handicap->12.5 all as per the user manual. The Garmin Golf app still shows the Garmin calculated index under 'Performance Stats'. Suggestions?

Can you post a picture of what your settings show and what the app is reflecting? Can you also confirm the version of the Golf app please.
