Venu 3, problem golf app

Venu 3 – some time ago I started having an issue where the golf app doesn’t show hazards on the golf course, meaning the distance to a bunker or water. That feature becomes greyed out, so I can’t select it. It works for a couple of holes before it stops working, and the problem started about a month ago.

Anyone else having the same issue who knows what I need to do? The watch is synced with the phone and they are paired

  • Certain holes on courses that do not have hazards registered, or if the mapping needs updated may also result in no hazards showing due to none being tied to that hole from the last time the course mapping was updated in our system. 

    Par 3 holes also may not display this information at times. 

    If you were previously seeing hazards on the holes you are not seeing the information on...ensure your watch is still synced to the Garmin Connect mobile and Garmin Golf apps on your phone with both of the apps open and running in the background throughout the entire round. 

    If you have further concerns, the following can be tried as well: 

    Try rebooting your watch, and upon powering it back up, open Garmin Connect mobile and sync your watch in the Garmin Devices menu > Then go back one menu in the app and select Garmin Golf from the menu list to be re-routed to the Garmin Golf app > Then tap "Profile" > My Devices > Ensure your watch is showing connected as well in the Garmin Golf app > Then use GPS the next time you are playing to open the course and it should load for you.
