Golf shot maps lost

I had an issue while golfing, I got a prompt from Garmin hydration tracker, and it would not let me re-open the golf app without rebooting my watch. It resumed the game and kept my scorecards, but it didn’t register the shot-maps from the first 13 holes. Is there a way to take the GPS data from the connect activity from the first 13 and feed that into the golf app to generate shot maps for the first 13?

  • If the watch did not prompt the "resume round" after rebooting with the shot data still accumulated...and if the scorecard is not allowing edit for the missing holes...there is unfortunately not a way to recover the shot data if it was not stored during the round.

Please post if this happens again and I can reach out to gather some data to have our team look further into the concern.

  • It did ask to “resume round”, but didn’t load the shot data with it. That’s alright, better luck next time. There will be plenty more rounds to come.  It will let me edit the first 13 scorecard as well. Just not the shot maps for holes 4-13 (gps was not active until midway through hole 3).

  • Same happened to me yesterday. On hole 18 tee box, the golf mode just went off  & switched to watch mode. I tapped golf and was able to resume round as there was a button to press that said resume, but I cannot get my shot maps visible on the golf app or golf connect. It shows my scorecard Drives GIR, putts, score, etc but no shot map.

  • Can you confirm if you encountered this concern as the other user reported with the Hydration tracker notifying during the round resulting in the concern, or did you only see the watch suddenly displaying the time > Then showing the resume round?

  • Only saw the watch suddenly display the time. Then having me select golf mode as if I am searching satellites, and I saw the resume button
