Cannot pair my S12 to my iphone.

I cannot pair my S12 to my iphone.  It has been a year since I used my watch.  And now it will not pair.   I get the message that 'we're having problems talking to the Garmin Connect server.'  My phone is on wifi and the website says all Garmin systems are up.   UGH!

  • In your iPhone settings app open the Bluetooth section > Then tap the ( i ) icon next to the device name in the list > Forget the device from the next screen. 

    Then open the Garmin Golf app > Tap the More tab > Select Garmin Devices > Tap on your Approach S12 > Select "Add this device" > Then on the actual watch, open the main menu > Scroll down to the Phone option from the list > Then on the next menu tap the "Pair Phone" option > In the app you should see the option to connect it.
