A local Golf Course Map (North Ryde Golf Club, NSW, Australia) has map errors

A local Golf Course Map (North Ryde Golf Club, NSW, Australia) has got hole locations jumbled up recently, when will Garmin fix this? It's been weeks now.
Already reported multiple times to the Course Error form, when will it be fixed?

  • Last update for North Ryde Golf Club showing from March 2024. If you have confirmed CourseView Pacific region is up to date on your S70, and still having issues...you may want to report again if your previous report was submitted prior to March 2024.

If you are seeing the issue in the Garmin Golf app vs directly on your watch...then be sure to mention the issue is with the graphics displaying in the Garmin Golf app.

  • Hi Cody, the watch and phone Garmin golf app are both wrong. The maps were deleted and then redownloaded on the phone and still wrong.

All the maps on Asia map manager were refreshed/updated just recently (later than March 2024).

what does that leave me with Cody?

also, I’ve turned off a lot of the additional golf functions like weather etc, not using play-like etc but often the distance is still at times different from other mates watches/phone apps, making me not trust the watch anymore.
Should I be sending the watch into Garmin?

  • Also, it affected another Garmin watch user who was playing with me. Same issue. Hole 10 is a par3 showing as par5. Changing hole to hole 11 fixed it, but then the next par3 on hole 14 is missing all together.

  • I am not suggesting the issue is with the watch, as the solution I mentioned was specific to reporting the concern through the golf course report form for further investigation.

My response is simply going off of the info provided originally on the post. If you have any specifics as to what you are seeing or any photos that would help to get a better idea of the concern you are describing seen on the app, your watch, or what others are seeing for that course.

In my previous response I was also simply providing a date timeframe on when the last update or change was implemented for that specific course being earlier this year. That being said, if your watch has the most current version of Course maps installed for the Pacific...then it would be good to get another report submitted for the golf map team to review further.

  • Yeah I have done that twice over now. Not sure if doing it a third time makes any difference. I haven’t heard back at all from Garmin.

  • Once the correction has been made, you will receive an email advising that the correction has been made per the email entered when the form was filled out and submitted.

These corrections do not have a timeline to provide as to when they will become available and the timeline will vary depending on the issue reported. If the report has been submitted, I can assure that our golf map team is working on the solution, and we appreciate your patience in the meantime while the correction is in process of being released for that specific course.

  • Went back on the weekend, map is still uncorrected. So frustrating.

  • Once the correction has been made, you will receive an email advising you if you submitted the Garmin Golf course report form as you mentioned reporting.

  • Hi

I too have been playing the course recently and it is wrong on the S70. It thinks holes 2 and 3 are Par 3s, but hole 2 is a Par 4. It then shows hole 3 as being hole 4 and from then the rest of the holes are shifted up a hole. The new Par 3 (it's about 6 months old) which I think is Hole 14 is not on the watch at all. You therefore cannot accurately record your scores on the watch.

So, to confirm, 2 of the holes on the watch don't exist on the course(Holes 2 and 3). The actual Hole 2 on the course doesn't exist on the phone, neither does Hole 14. Holes 3 to 14 are not recorded as the correct number on the watch.

    Please update this Garmin.

  • If you have not already, I recommend submitting a course report for this course.

Once the report is submitted, it will be reviewed and any updates needed will be implemented in a future release of course map updates, which are released in bundles periodically throughout the year on an unscheduled basis. As the update is available containing the correction for the course you reported, you will be emailed advising the correction is available to install.

Even if someone else has submitted the course report, those also playing the same course are encouraged to still submit a report for the course, this way those waiting for the update to be released will get notified once the update containing the corrections is available

The course report form can be accessed through the link here: https://www.garmin.com/forms/golfcourses/
