can't unlock maps

My Fenix 7 keeps giving me an error - can't unlock maps - I've connected it to Garmin Express and attempted to reload maps but then it keeps saying to unplug and plug in and then the same error message appears - I went golfing and it said there were no maps. I've done a factory reset and I still have this issue. Help.

Open the fenix 7 device storage drive in File Explorer (if using Windows PC) to open the GARMIN folder > Scroll below the sub-folders and manually delete any of the files starting with the letters, "gmap…

Open the fenix 7 device storage drive in File Explorer (if using Windows PC) to open the GARMIN folder > Scroll below the sub-folders and manually delete any of the files starting with the letters, "gmap" > Once removed, disconnect the watch from the computer > Right click the fenix 7 from the device page in Garmin Express to remove it from Express > Then reconnect your watch and add it as a new device to Express > Then install the course map updates back to the watch and this should correct the alert.
