Sorry for the confusing title, but not sure how else to explain what's going on.
I have a new Garmin Approach S70 watch. I track my golf scores on it. I had a software update on it about a month ago, and started seeing something weird and I'm not sure how to fix (if I can).
Quite often, at the end of a hole my watch tells me my driveway went left or right when really, it was in the fairway. I'm usually close to the left edge or right edge, but in the fairway. The hole is finished, and my score pops up and says I shot a 4, 2 putts, drive went left. Instead of hitting the green check to accept, I click on the score, get to the drive and correct it to tell it I went straight. That part works great.
The two items:
1) This is the major one and one I am hoping to fix. When I get home and check on the Garmin website and go to my Golf Scorecards, it doesn't have the corrections I made. So according to the scorecard that got saved, my drive on the above hole went left even though it didn't and I corrected it on the watch.
2) The smaller issue is that when I look at the golf app on my iPhone and bring up the hole in question, it'll actually show my shot location as being in the fairway. So I hit in the fairway, my phone app knows I'm in the fairway but my watch is like "nah, you went left."
If it matters at all, my procedure at the course is to (1) start a round on my watch, Keep Score, navigate to the right hole and then (2) open my phone app and click "Resume Round started on Approach S70." I'm not sure if this is actually necessary, but I had a few issues where my watch wouldn't keep score if I didn't have the phone app open, too, though that might have been on my old watch.
Anyway, it's rather annoying to go through and fix the drives on the watch, only to see that they didn't translate to the scorecard. I have no issues if I change my score or amount of putts, that seems to track just fine.
