Penalty strokes on score card

There is a 3 year old topic about this, Garmin’s answer at the time was to check what app can do.

As far as I can see there is no change yet, wondering if I’m the only one who would like to see the actual numbers visible on the score card afterwards.

Garmin please add this to the update roadmap. It is very odd that we can record penalty strokes from our Garmin watches but not see them afterwards.

    Yes please, as it only shows up in the app as number of penalties per 18 holes. I love my S62 but I really wish the Garmin Golf app had more info, like Shotscope. I’m seriously considering moving over.

    I've had two people ask for watch recommendations within the last week and I've recommended AGAINST the S62 and that they find another watch instead of Garmin. The lack of any new features since I've had the watch (Jan 2022) and the total lack of communication from Garmin in this forum is a sign of a product to stay away from. As it stands, I use the watch and am happy with the scorekeeping (penalty issue notwithstanding and some other minor things) and the yardage indicator - but this is available from many other less expensive products where they actually issue updates and improve the software. And the non-integration with GHIN is pretty bad (non-existant) with Garmin too.

    Just moved to S70 from a Shotscope X5 - What a disappointment for the recording of a penalty shot!

    Yes it asks at the end of the hole but not where the penalty was, so no indication of where on the course view etc.  Thinking the S70 will go back and I'll continue to push on with the poor battery life of the X5 but at least the X5 works as a golf watch for tracking shots etc.

    Garmin invested in producing a new watch but seems unwilling to update the software. I wonder why there is no reply on this forum nor there is interest in listening to what people are saying….great hardware but so disappointing in the software department as well as customer support!

    Garmin is still reviewing user reports for future consideration, for those wanting more options for tracking penalties. If you would like your account added, please direct message me, and I will get those user's feedback submitted. 

    This request has also been responded to in many other posts within the forums through the Golf Product-Specific section of Garmin Forums. Penalties being a part of the Stat Tracking features offered on product specific devices...most of the discussions regarding penalties are on the product specific post threads.

    Is there any chance you could create or simplify the forum into a single "Garmin Golf" section? Often it seems these discussions get fractured and spread across multiple posts/forums instead of a single thread? I think a lot of the current challenges are created at the software level and right now these requests often show up in Golf iOS/Android/S62/S70 forums. Fundamentally what folks are asking about is the Garmin golf experience, not watch specific.
