Garmin Golf app not showing hole by hole or map with shots

I have a brand new Approach S62 and used it for the first time today. I recorded every shot I took. I already had Garmin Connect and the golf app on my phone, phone connects to app and it appears sync is working when syncing from Connect via Bluetooth. However the scorecard in the golf app shows the scores per hole but not the hole by hole and not a graphic of each hole and where my shots went. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, resynced the watch to the phone, everything I can think of.  Very frustrated.

  • PS It’s an iPhone 11 and is completely up to date with latest software version.

  • Hello, can you try syncing that shot data manually with Garmin Express?

This should push that shot tracking data over to the app. This should only be a one time workaround.

If you continue to have issues after this with shot tracking displaying on the app, please hover over my name and send me a private message.

  • I think I also responded via email.
I’ve tried that several times using the Garmin Connect app and syncing via Bluetooth. The little green ring completes after the sync wheel spins but the data is still not showing up in the app.

I’ve seen that Garmin Express is not available on iPhones but is it available on a MacBook and is that another way to do it?  And is that via USB?
  • And if I’ve already tried syncing previously does the data get removed from the watch so that syncing again won’t show the shot data anyway?  My brother told me that’s the case.

  • Ok never mind! I got it figured out. Apparently the round syncing was being affected by some other user’s data that was still on the watch. Must have been a purchase and return situation. Anyway I couldn’t figure out the system file thing so I ended up wiping the watch and returning it to factory settings. Then I loaded and reloaded both Connect and the App and connected my watch to my MacBook via Express. Once I started over with everything, the syncing was flawless and I was surprised to see that my round information was still there in the Golf app, including the shot by shot and map view data!  My club sensors are arriving on Thursday so that will be my next adventure with all of this.
