Where to find stats for Range Sessions?

I own a Garmin Approach R10 and my intention was to use it for range sessions in the Garmin Golf App to analyse and improve my golf during the winter.
I can however not find any statistics, which make me think I'm totally missing something. The only statistics I can see is average carry and total distance per club for one single range session.
Some of the very basic stuff as to see average for all metrics for any given date range per club I cannot find. Could someone please help point out where to find it.
I also expect to be able to download all shots for more advanced analysis as well as to see statistics for played Home Tee Hero rounds. One would also expect some of the fun stuff. like to see the best results for all metrics for any given date range and club.
All of this is very basic and if none of them is to be found, it would be interesting to know the target group for the Garmin Approach R10 as it cannot be dedicated golfers who are keen to improve their golf.

  • Totally agree this is a basic feature that is lacking.  Only being able to go one session at a time, and then in shot list only see 3 basic statistics with no ability to even change which statistics are shown is frustrating and losing one of the main benefits of having the R10.

Simple answer would be to let us download the data. But if Garmin will not provide that, then they need to start providing more views as Lars suggested.

  • I totally agree, too. Before r10 I trained with ES14, very simple app BUT I was able to export my statistic datas via eMail in csv.-format. Post-Processing with excel or what else went perfectly.

So come on, Garmin. Please, spend some time to improve the app and implement an export-function. I'm looking for your App-update, hopefully.

  • Hi, in the shot list you see 3 basic stas per shot, that's correct. But if you press on every shot again, you are able to see the whole statistics again, including the videos you have done.

  • I have arrived here looking for way to get my average stats so I can share them with my pro. My sesssion stats give me max total yards and min total yards plus averages for carry and total yards but if i want to get swing speed, attack angle, smash factor, swing path etc...etc.... i have to click on each individual shot. The data for one-off shots does not let me see if (and how) I am improving.

Come on Garmin! Surely you cn fix it so we can export the data or view different averages on the phone when reviewing past sessions.

  • Excellent question Lars  I, just as 2944655 below, arrived at this page after searching in Google about how to access my range stats after the fact so I could use them with my coach and also as input into SuperSpeed Golf training, which I am about to start (I realise that I can’t currently use the R10 for measuring swing speed without then ball. I have had to order the PRGR Launch Monitor just for this function, which to ne sound totally MAD).

I am amazed to find that all the information gathered in each range session is NOT available. What on earth is going on Garmin? This cannot possibly be difficult to do whilst having the app connected to my phone while using the R10. Is there some kind of obscure technical reason why the information, which would all enter the app whilst in use, cannot be saved for  reviewing afterwards.

I have only used the R10 a few times and have been really pleased with it so far. I’m not a professional golfer. I’m a disabled amateur that plays on the EDGA golf tour. The information I need from a launch monitor does not have to be accurate to the nth degree. This is why the R10 has been exactly what I was looking for.

To find out they it would handle swing or club head speed without hitting the ball was very disappointing. Disappointing to the time of the £190 is had cost me to buy the PRGR. To then find out that I cannot even review any of the stats gathered during my practice sessions seems to me totally ridiculous.

GARMIN, please can you respond to these questions and explain why this is so? Or, hopefully, perhaps respond to say we are all mistaken, letting us know how we go about accessing out statistical information?

It would also be nice if you were to let me know when swing/CH speed without the ball will be available too? I, along with several others, submitted this as a future development requirement to you months ago and have had a total of ZERO responses from you on this.

    many thanks (I think)

  • Any reply from Garmin?  As a coach using this app with students, it is a show stopper not to be able to send shot stats to students.

  • Unfortunately nothing. Would certainly be very useful. To be honest, I haven’t been using my Garmin nearly as much as I thought I would.
