Golf Shot Map Not Working after Epix Update 23.18

Garmin Golf Shot Map not working or showing in the app after the Epix Gen 2 update 23.18

Has anyone else experienced this after the update? I can see the shot maps of the rounds played before the update, but no option to see shot maps for rounds played after the update.

  • Garmin Cody, please look into this bug. I did all the updates on Garmin Express, plugged the watch in again yesterday to check for any updates. Played today and immediately after the round when saving the watch reboots and shot map data is lost. Very frustrating. Please let us know what Garmin says about the bug and if and when it will be fixed with future updates.

  • I had the same issue. Epix Pro Gen 2 A04596. Watch restarted after the 18th hole and I lost the shot maps. I haven’t heard about the Garmin Express app before, only the Garmin Connect and Garmin Golf apps. Is Express only for desktop? Am I able to update the maps through the Garmin Connect or Golf apps? Is updating the maps guaranteed to resolve this issue? Another thing I noticed is that the first round I played before the update, I started the Golf activity in the Garmin Golf app and logged all the data there. Shot maps appeared after I ended the round with the Garmin Golf app. When I played a round last weekend, I started the Golf activity from my Garmin Epix Pro Gen 2 watch and at the end lost the shot maps. Is there any correlation there?

  • I have an Epix Gen2 watch, and I had a round that I completed(18) on my watch and went into Garmin Connect to Sync Data. My round appeared in Garmin Connect as well as the Golf App, but Golf Shot Map did not appear. The following week, I played 9 holes and opened up the Golf App before I started the round on my watch. After that round I did have Golf Shot Map showing up.

Then the following week, I played 18 and used my watch and opened up the golf app. Well after the round I clicked on end round, and it looked like it synced everything, but the round never showed up on my watch. Well I played again and when I opened the app on my watch it asked if I wanted to finish the round and it was acting like I didn't finish the round from earlier in the day and I clicked end round.... That round didn't have any Shot Map to view in the Golf App on my Phone.

Not sure whats going on, but I played this past Saturday same thing happened ended the round on my watch and saw stats on my watch, but nothing showed up on Golf App. I then acted as if I was going to play a round and opened the app on the watch and it as asking if I wanted to finish the round.

My Watch is running Software Version 23.18 and I have plugged it into Garmin express and everything is up to date.

  • Same problem, updated the latest maps from Garmin Express, but it has not worked

  • Another new strange experience.  When starting a new round garmin epic 2 promoted me to continue my round from last week.  I said yes and played one hole but it wasn't asking me to verify my score so I ended the round and it restarted my watch and deleted last weeks round that had been previously saved.  After the restart I started a new round and for the first time in over a month this round does have shot maps but my previous rounds still don't show up and I completely lost last weeks round.  Software version 23.18

  • Same issue for me on Epix gen 2. Maps are updated via Garmin Express. Watch reboots after saving 18th hole. Scores get pushed through but shot maps do not. Very frustrating. Please help. Worked fine 1 month ago but last three rounds have this issue, so it seems software related.

  • so far I have seen similar problems with the S50, Fenix 7S, Venu 3, Epix Pro 2.

  • OP here. Surely Garmin Cody can give us some feedback here? This is a bug! No map updates through Garmin Express makes any difference to the problem. It's the same as going for a run or cycle and there are no stats or map data available afterwards. It's a massive issue! If this happend to runners or cyclists it would have been sorted out in the first few days of reporting!
