golf not showing as an available activity

I have a Garmin Adventure watch and I've got the Garmin Golf app on my Android phone but when I go to start an activity golf is not avaiable. If I try to add more to my list, golf is not available . I have download the maps for my local golf course and I've even successfully done this once before a couple of months ago. What am I doing wrong now?

    The golf activity app can be added through the added through the Outdoor category once you edit and then add through the activity menu. Once the Outdoor dropdown has been selected to reveal the apps under that category, you should then see the Golf app displayed to add as a favorite to main list displayed when you first open your activity menu on the watch. 

    If you are not seeing the Golf option listed under the Outdoor category of options, open the Garmin Connect mobile app > Tap the picture of your watch and try to manage the activity app through remote settings to see if the Golf app is displayed as an app that has been removed.
